Why is our government not covering all the rent it they forced us to be closed? Walmart and Kmart can sell boots and clothing, why not small business? It also does not cover retail businesses like myself that got the PPP but were effected by looting. How am I supposed to pay even half when closed. Most importantLy, my landlord expects most of the rent payment. There should be partial coverage till the economy picks up. Eight weeks of payroll need to be extend to 12 weeks or more since the pandemic lasted longer than expected. This Cares act was not designed for New York small business that we one of the last to open up.
